Here are the answers to some of the most popular questions we are asked about our private home care. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, please contact us by using the form below to ask your own question and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
General questions
As soon as you want it to. When you first contact us, we will arrange for our Care Manager to come and visit you and discuss and assess your individual situation and needs. We will produce your personalised Care Plan which will then be confirmed with you and your family.
It will be tailored to suit you and your lifestyle, preferences and abilities, so we need to ensure that you are completely happy with the plan. From then on, we can begin providing you with the services in your Care Plan.
Sometimes we find that after producing the Care Plan and going to practice, people’s needs are slightly more or less complex than originally thought.
We are flexible with what we do, and if for instance you have asked for help with household chores, but then find you can do some of it yourself, this can be altered to what suits you better. Similarly, if at first you are capable of doing certain tasks on your own, but then a few months down the line begin to struggle with anything, we can then add services to your Care Plan.
Our private home care services fit around you, so if at any time your needs or preferences change, this can be modified and updated on your Care Plan.
We do our utmost to make sure the care you receive does not interfere with the way you wish to live out your last months, weeks or days. Unfortunately, as time goes on you may struggle to do certain activities especially if you are bedridden.
However, we will strive to make your last days as enjoyable as possible and will help you arrange day trips, visits from family and friends, and any other specific wishes you may have.

We guarantee that all of our staff have the necessary training, experience and qualifications needed in order to do their jobs professionally and effectively. During our recruitment procedure, we certify that they are compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Disclosed Barring Service (DBS.)
We undertake rigorous measures to ensure that they are constantly working to the highest of standards with regular observations, spot checks and reviews. Many of our staff undergo further training with us in order to continually advance their skills and improve themselves professionally.

Questions about your needs
We have a highly experienced staff team and we tailor your lead carer to your needs. We also have a clinical lead who will form part of the assessment team when building your package of support. If you have a specialist need to clinical lead will support your care team to understand your needs and requirements.
All care packages are tailored to your needs we will work a Rota basis so that everyone’s care needs are met.
If you feel that you are incompatible with a carer, you will have all the contact details of the management Team and you will be able to call one of them. We would remove any carer from your package that you felt uncomfortable with.
If you have an emergency your carer will staff with you until a family meber or medical assitance arrives. We are able to do this because we have an on call worker who can cover the carers calls while they remain with you.
Questions about the carers
All our carers are interviewed and we take three written references before employing anyone.
All our workers are DBS checked and cleared for work.
This will depend on how many visit you require. Every client will have a a key worker or main carer and back up carers who know you and understand your care needs.
The call will be covered by the on call carer, who you will know as they are part of the management team and you will have meet them when you commissioned your package and you will have regular contact with them during their monthly visits.
You will have a bank of two to four carers depending on the number of calls you require.
All our carers receive a comprehensive training package, Staff are given a full two week induction training package. Staff receiving a rolling package of training to maintain and build their skills.
Every client has a care file in their house. This holds you personalized care plan, your consent to care. Your medication sheet and you daily visit sheets. As such you and your family have free access to this information.
